Open House during Open Casket Weekend

Compassionate Ocean Zen Center, located across the street from the Casket Arts building, will hold Open Houses and a Meditation and Dharma Talk service for new people during Open Casket Weekend, Friday, November 8–Sunday, November 10.

Open Casket is an annual event held by the Casket Arts Building and the Northeast Minneapolis Artists Association showcasing the talented artists who call Casket Arts home. This event is free to the public.

Attend our Sunday meditation and dharma talk on Sunday at 9:00 A.M.​
Compassionate Ocean offers opportunities for meditation practice, weekly talks, and classes on Buddhist teachings. Four times a year we offer programs in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). We also conduct meditation retreats and introductory sessions, all in a welcoming place of peace in the heart of Northeast Minneapolis.
Volunteers Needed
We are seeking volunteers for this weekend—to help clean the building (before and after the event), greet and guide guests, and answer questions about our Sangha, our programs, and Zen practice. Training and resources will be provided.
